I recently realized that I like taking pictures of winding roads or trail of roads/paths, aside from gazebos. I don’t know what it is about either of these that attract my attention to them.
If I had to guess, I think the roads, trail, path pictures show forwardness, there is something more ahead, maybe something to explore, there is a way out if you just keep going toward where the road/trail/path leads. Maybe there is adventure if you just continue.
For gazebos, I find them to be cozy, self-enclosed, magical, whimsical and offer shelter from rain, storm or generally bad weather. I like the shape of the gazebo and find the gazebo inviting, and see it as a nice gathering place with friends or family, as well as a place to meditate, be still, and at peace.
I will post other pictures and my interpretation of why I am drawn to the object (s) in the picture (s) in future writings.
What do you find yourself drawn to when taking pictures?
